She's Here!

Our sweet new girl is finally here! Finley Rose was born Friday, April 13 weighing in at 7 lb. 1 oz and 19 inches long. We were released today and are now home and doing well! Little peanut is down to 6 lb. 9 oz. now but nursing like a champ and seems to be quite the easy going, content little baby. Definitely a plus considering big sister's high maintenance personality :)

Here are a couple pics and I'll have more later.

FINALLY an update!

So I know I haven't updated in like 4 or 5 months since we found out we were having another girl. I got SO busy Nov-Feb doing camera strap orders and really that consumed pretty much all my time. But now, the shop is "on vacation" as we're super close to baby girl being here!!

We are naming her Finley Rose (Rose is from my grandma) and will be having her next Friday!  So crazy how fast this pregnancy as gone by, probably because Perri goes 90 to nothing all day and so days go by pretty darn fast.

This pregnancy has been a bit rough compared to Perri's, as I'm dealing with all my still undiagnosed name muscle disease problems. I had a muscle biopsy done when I was 13 weeks that they didn't find anything from the first time but have since sent it off again to check for enzyme disorders. After Finley is born we'll be hitting hard as to trying to figure out out again.  EMG's that have been done all show muscle damage and abnormality signaling a muscle disease, but they have yet to find the source of it, so that's frustrating. Mainly now the main things bothering me are intense muscle cramps and pain as well as spasms and tremors. The numbness and tingling I get comes and goes as well as the loss of feeling and control of my legs. But, aside from that pregnancy has been ok :)

I'm not even going to attempt to document all that's gone on so I'll pick up with Perri's Easter party from school yesterday. I had to leave early for my weekly dr. appt (which I'm done with those now yippee!!) so I didn't get many pics but here are a few!

Perri and her bff Kate. These two are inseparable!

ABC's of me

I saw this today on another blog and thought it would be fun to do! And because most all posts are about Perri :)

Age: 27

Bed size: Queen. This was not my choice at all. I begged for a king and Craig said a queen was better since we move around and you never know how big our room will be :(   (so far, a king would have worked just fine!)

Chore that you hate: washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, mopping

Dogs: Emma, a Golden Retriever. Great dog, despise the hair.

Essential to start your day: Used to be a Diet Dr. Pepper but I nixed those months ago so nothing in particular now.

Favorite Color: Blues/turquiose

Gold or Silver: Silver

Height: 5'6"

Instruments you play: None. Something I really regret.

Job Title: Stay at home mom :)

Kids: Perri Elizabeth and baby #2 on the way. ( we find out in 2 weeks yay!!)

Live: In Katy, TX, a large suburb of Houston.

Mother's Name: Liz (random question haha)

Nicknames: Leah Tori, Smee, Smo

Overnight hospital stays: 2 weeks in high school, 1 night for passing out in Target due to low potassium, 1 night (I think? maybe 2) to getting my gall bladder out) and 2 nights (I think? or maybe 3? haha Im awful) for c-section with Perri. I think that's all?

Pet Peeves: Smacking, slow drivers

Quote from a movie: Zoolander (don't judge it's hilarious)

Hansel: I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero.
The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.

Right or Left Hand: Right.

Siblings: Zach and Sarah. I'm the baby :)

Truth or Dare: hmm either

Ultimate Vacation: Europe or any beach.

Vegetable you hate: Brussel sprouts. I don't care what people say about roasting them, they are still horrible!

What Makes You Run Late: That would be my dear husband waiting until the absolute last minute to shower and get dressed.

X-rays you've had- HA. Let's see. Dental, then I've had my neck for when I was tumbling at a football game in jr high and a girl walked behind me causing me to land on my head, I had some sort of test or u/s done twice for when I had my gall bladder out, my chest, hands and hips ordered from my rheumatologist, and I think 3 MRIS of brain and orbit and cervical. Someday I'll post on here of all the dr.'s and tests I've been thru the last year to find out whats going on with me.

Yummy Food that you Make: Well we eat lots of "weird" stuff around here. Lots of vegan/vegetarian that I love (but oddly enough can't handle while I'm pregnant so eating lots of chicken).

Zoo Animal: Lions. We have a great zoo and you are RIGHT up on the lions its amazing.

Zoo Boo 2011

A couple weekends ago we took Perri to the zoo for their Zoo Boo. Kids can wear their costumes and there are places to trick or treat all over the zoo and there is also a scavenger hunt type thing where you visit certain booths and do certain activities. At each booth they color in one leg of a spider on your map and when you finish you get a special prize.

We let Perri wear one of her regular princess dresses because in all honesty, her halloween costume I made took way too much time and is slightly delicate and there was no way that thing was going to get messed up before halloween. She of course was thrilled to wear anything princess out of of the house haha.

Posing in front of the giant candy corn

They had pumpkins everywhere all over the zoo. It was so cute!

Crawling through the tunnel and all the fish. She thinks this is the coolest thing.

Painting her pumpkin. She was so serious about it and took FOREVER

Posing with daddy

Pic with me during a break from the fun. We were all sweaty because its still around 90 here!

It's hard to see but they're in the middle of Meer cats . (She's in regular clothes here because she got hot and changed)

Rice Harvest Festival

A couple weekends ago we took Perri and met up with Shanna, Zach, Avery and Shanna's family at the Rice Harvest Festival here. Most of the vendors I'm not very interested in, and the ones that I would be I can make all the clothes. Anyhow, there is also a kids carnival there and the girls had a blast!! The guys bought them wrist bands thinking they'd want to just go and go and go but by like 7 rides they were worn out. Probably because it was over 90 degrees!

Anyhow, here are some pics of our girls at the festival!
